Every Smile Starts With A Comprehensive Initial Consultation!

Understanding you and your orthodontic concerns is a key element of our relationship, whether we are treating you or your child. Your initial consultation will consist of a relaxed but thorough examination, and a comprehensive discussion of potential treatment options. This initial consultation is complimentary, and no charges are rendered to you or your insurance until any treatment actually begins.

What To Expect On Your First Visit

  • Review your dental and medical history to determine the proper course of action. Depending on your personal needs and goals, we will help you select the right time to begin treatment to achieve the results you desire.
  • Provide a complete oral exam, including X-rays, to establish which treatment is necessary for your specific needs. Our goal is to maximize your results while minimizing treatment time.
  • Help you create a customized treatment plan that will help you develop and maintain a healthy, beautiful smile for years to come.
  • Discuss all financial information, insurance options, and payment plans available to help you begin your journey to a better smile!
  • We will recommend the appropriate time for starting treatment for maximum results, rather than rushing success.

Diagnostic Records & Treatment Planning

Successful orthodontic treatments result from proper diagnosis of all problems involved, and creating a plan to address each directly. This includes not only the teeth, but also jaw joints and facial structure considerations. Many patients have hidden skeletal problems, such as facial asymmetries and dual bites, which can only be detected through proper diagnostic evaluation.

If we determine that treatment is your best option, you will then be scheduled for a diagnostic records appointment. These records usually consist of digital models,  photographs, and digital x-rays. We use all digital equipment, which causes less radiation exposure for you and takes far less time than traditional film x-rays. Once these orthodontic records have been obtained, Dr. Yue will review them and create a specific treatment plan for your needs. Our office will set up the necessary appointments for you to begin your orthodontic treatment, and present financial arrangements.

We encourage you to ask all questions you may have about your treatment during this visit. By the end of the appointment, we aim to have the following questions answered:

1. What conditions need to be addressed?
2. How will orthodontic treatment help improve my condition?
3. Should treatment begin now or should it be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption or other factors   have occurred?
4. What procedures or appliances will be used to correct the problem?
5. How long will my treatment take?
6. How frequent will my appointments be?
7. How much will my orthodontic treatment cost?
8. What are my payment options?
